Sabato 17 marzo, dalle 11 alle 17 con ingresso libero, il Castello di Santa Severa ospita un appuntamento da non perdere, il torneo valido per le selezioni di accesso al “ Battle of the nations”. L’evento è organizzato da Historical Martial Combat Italy Federation, C.S.E.N. (Centro Sportivo Educativo Nazionale) e HMBIA (Historical Medieval Battle International Association).
HMC CUP ITALY è una tappa del Torneo Nazionale C.S.E.N valido per le selezioni della squadra nazionale che parteciperà al “Battle of the Nations”. L’evento è organizzato in collaborazione con la Regione Lazio, LAZIOcrea, Mibact, Comune di Santa Marinella e Coopculture.
Battle of the Nations è ospitato ogni anno in una nazione diversa, per l’edizione 2018 sarà ospitato in Italia. Considerato il mondiale del Combattimento Medievale, con oltre 700 combattenti provenienti da varie parti del mondo, come ad esempio la Nuova Zelanda per citare la più lontana e la Cina per menzionane una la cui storia è molto diversa dal medioevo europeo. Le categorie sono il 1vs1 suddiviso in 4 discipline (spada lunga, spada e scudo, spada e brocchiere ed arma in asta (tutte sia maschile che femminile) e gli scontri di gruppo con il 3vs3 solo femminile ed i 5vs5 e 21vs21 maschili. L’Italia partecipa al BotN sin dalla seconda edizione del 2011, quando le nazioni interessate erano solo 7 rispetto alle 35 odierne ed è rappresentata da 50 combattenti e partecipa a tutte le discipline. Sulla spianata dei Signori, sarà allestito un autentico accampamento storico, vedere un vero fabbro alla forgia da campo, provare le armi e le armature oltre a cimentarsi in duelli e al tiro con l’arco e poi asssistere alle fasi di selezione per il “ Battle of the Nations”, una competizione con vere armi, vere armature di ferro, e veri guerrieri in lotta.

Saturday, March 17, from 11 to 17 with free admission, the Castle of Santa Severa hosts an appointment not to be missed, the tournament valid for the access selections to the “Battle of the nations“. The event is qualification tournament for Italian HMB National Team and it is organized by HMC CUP ITALY, in collaboration with the Regione Lazio, LAZIOcrea, Mibact, Municipality of Santa Marinella and Coopculture.
Battle of the Nations is hosted every year in a different country, the 2018 edition is hosted in Italy, and is considered the World of Medieval Combat, with over 700 fighters from various parts of the world, such as New Zealand to quote the most distant and China to mention one whose history is very different from the European Middle Ages. The categories are 1vs1 divided into 4 disciplines (long sword, sword and shield, sword and brocchiere and weapon in auction (all male and female) and group battles with 3vs3 female only and 5vs5 and 21vs21 male. Italy participates in the BotN since the second edition of 2011, when the countries concerned were only 7 compared to 35 today and is represented by 50 fighters and participates in all disciplines.
On the Spianata dei Signori, an authentic historical camp will be set up, see a real blacksmith at the field forge, try the weapons and armor as well as engage in duels and archery and then assists to the selection phases for the Battle of the Nations, a competition with real weapons, real armor of iron, and true warriors fighting.
